Beschreibung
Who articulates how, for what motives and with what intentions in social media is difficult to grasp under the conditions of a contingent post-digital culture. A scholarly interest in social media practices must therefore deal with the contingency of what is posted, liked and commented on in each case. This basic assumption poses challenges for academic practice. Under the motto 'Show your world! Discover diversity! Shape digital culture!', this Atlas, which emerges from the research project Online Laboratory for Digital Cultural Education conducted at Kiel University, is intended to open up the discussion about the significance of social media in everyday activities. The aim is to fan out the breadth of the horizon of possible articulation and interaction in the diverse practices of use in social media through forms of 'observing' and 'confronting'.
