I wrote this paper en route to completing the requirement for my masters degree while attending the Nuclear Engineering program at MIT. This summarized the work done over the 3 year period of time there under the auspices of Dennis Whyte. The work has since been continued and expanded upon by other graduate students. Interested readers should have a modest background in general physics and nuclear engineering to be able to understand the contents. Thank you to my thesis advisor, the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the entire Nuclear department for supporting my work during my time as a graduate student.
