"The Little Prince" stands alone in the work of the writer-pilot. The little book, written shortly before Exupery's death, is not at all like other fairy tale books. The "children's" tale of Exupery is wise and human. And its author is not only a poet but also a philosopher. The drawings for the book are made by the author himself, and are no less glorious than the book itself. It is important that this is not just an illustration, but an organic part of the work as a whole: the author and the heroes of the fairy tale constantly refer to the drawings and even argue about them.
