He was nominated for the Nobel prize in literature eight times.Joachim Friedenthal was a German journalist.Ion Luca Caragiale was a Wallachian, later Romanian playwright, short story writer, poet, theater manager, political commentator and journalist.Lazar "Laza" Lazarevi was a Serbian writer, psychiatrist, and neurologist.Svatopluk ech was a Czech writer, journalist and poet.Kálmán Mikszáth de Kiscsoltó was a widely reputed Hungarian novelist, journalist, and politician.Ksaver andor Gjalski was a Croatian writer and civil servant.
