In this literary hiking guide, author Daniela Egger interweaves famous legends with modern tales, provides intriguing explanations for the names of meadows and mountains, and guides the hiker to the installations carefully placed along the route by artist Daniel Nikolaus Kocher.

Daniela Egger
Born in 1967 in Hohenems, she is a graduate of the Fashion Design School in Vienna. She then travelled extensively, and has been a freelance author since 1994. She has won numerous prizes and awards, including the Graz Academy’s Playwright Competition in 2000 (theatre) and the ORF [Austrian Broadcasting Corporation] Prize for Film and Television Material 2002 (screenplay). She was also editor of the anthology Austern im Schnee und andere Sommergeschichten [Oysters in the Snow and other Summer Stories] released by Bucher Publishing House in 2008. In 2005, she co-founded and continues to be editor of the literary magazine miromente, which is issued quarterly.
