New Immigrants to the United States today are different from the earlier immigrants from Europe. They are mostly nonwesterners in culture and worldview. The book examines one of the new Immigrants'' group,"West Africans," and argues that unless the worldview of a people is clearly understood, sharing the gospel would always be problematic because the message being communicated may be coated in assumptions and worldview categories that are different from the recipients culture

Damian O. Emetuche was a missionary in West Africa for eight years. He currently lives in Seattle,WA where he is a church planting strategist, and Adjunct professor at Bakke Graduate University in Seattle. He obtained his PhD in Missions/cultural anthropology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY.
