It is not uncommon to take on numerous roles in a professional capacity, but for the counselling professional a dual role has the potential to damage the primary therapist/client relationship. If the relationship is the therapy how should such a challenge be managed? This book considers the unique dual role of the priest who is also a practising psychotherapist, and how those dual roles may be helpful to or hinder the therapeutic relationship.
